Colorado / State / 2026 Regular Session
SB26-046 (2026 Session Laws, chapter 10) Moved the disabled veteran property tax exemption filing deadline to July 15 and the late deadline to August 15
A property tax administration act aligned the veteran exemption’s dates with the senior exemption’s: the application deadline in C.R.S. 39-3-205(1)(b) moved from July 1 to July 15 and the good-cause late deadline in 39-3-206(2)(a.7) from August 1 to August 15. Effective August 12, 2026, after the 2026 deadlines had passed, so the new dates govern from the 2027 filing season.
