Colorado / State / 2025 Regular Session
HB25-1076 (2025 Session Laws, chapter 16) Struck the permanence requirement from the disabled veteran registration fee exemption
Section 7 of a motor vehicle administration act deleted "permanent" from C.R.S. 42-3-304(3)(a), so a 50 percent or more service-connected disability exempts one vehicle from registration fees whether or not VA has made it permanent. The parallel specific ownership tax exemption in 42-3-104(5) was not amended and still requires permanence. The same act repealed the Navy SEAL plate. Codified versions printed before August 2025 still show the old text.
