Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The Recorder's current fee schedule lists "Military Discharges (includes three (3) certified copies)" as free, where most instruments are $30, and under copies of records lists "Military Discharges" as free again, where other recorded documents are $1 a page and $3 to certify. ARS 11-465 requires the free recording; see the Arizona entry. How. Record in person or by mail at the Recorder's Office, 1015 Fair Street, Room 228, Prescott 86305. For a copy, send the Recorder's copy request form with a self-addressed stamped envelope to the same address. Who can see it. ARS 11-465 keeps a recorded discharge out of public view, giving access only to a federal official, the claimant, or the claimant's guardian, attorney or personal representative for a federal benefit claim, so expect the Recorder to ask who is requesting a copy and why. The Recorder's pages do not say so.
