Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The assessor’s veteran’s exemption page offers “a local veteran’s exemption to all veterans who qualify for the regular veteran’s exemption”: the DD-214 on file in the Town Clerk’s office by September 30, 2026, no age requirement, and, if qualified, “an additional $20,000 exemption off your assessment.” Eligibility turns on Modified Income, the applicant’s Federal Gross Income plus any Social Security earnings included in it, and the page sets qualifying income at $71,300 for a single person and $81,500 for a married one, applications February 1 through October 1. Those limits are OPM’s 2026 grand list amounts plus $25,000. OLR’s 2023 survey recorded Woodbridge as offering the 12-81f wartime and 30-year retiree exemption at $20,000 with income limits of $74,100 married and $65,300 single, the 2023 equivalents. The page also carries the State Additional Veteran Application, and a Gold Star Letter explains the town’s program for Gold Star parents and surviving spouses: an ordinance passed under Public Act 17-65 entitles a parent whose child was killed in action, or the surviving spouse of a person killed in action while performing active military duty, to an exemption “applied to assessed value of an eligible parent’s or surviving spouse’s primary residence in an amount of ten percent of such assessed value,” at income not exceeding the 12-81l maximum, with no age requirement. The 100% Service Related Permanent & Total Disability Exemption page posts the D-2 application. Woodbridge’s code was found on no readable host.

Figures

Each figure is dated with the day it was read. A local figure moves whenever the statute or the local ordinance does, so confirm it with the office that grants it before you rely on it. Statute verified gives the day the weekly section check last found the statute standing on the legislature’s own code site; a figure without it rests on a statute the check does not read yet.
