Winkler County Veterans Services: A Budgeted Officer the County Does Not Name

Winkler County has no veterans page and names no officer, but its budget keeps a Veterans Service department ($12,400 for 2027, with $8,000 for the service officer's salary, up from $6,000) whose salary line spent nothing in 2025 or 2026; TexVet's county list sends Winkler's veterans to the Texas Veterans Commission's Midland office ((432) 688-4879), and the County Judge's office in Kermit (432-586-6658) is the county's general contact.
