Its "Veteran Appointment Scheduling" posting says "veterans should make an appointment. To schedule an appointment please call (940)-553-2310", above an older card for Tony Fonseca, Office Manager, Wilbarger County Veteran Service Office, fax (940) 553-2360. The page gives no hours. The office files VA and State claims under Government Code chapter 434 (see the Texas entry). TexVet's county list still names Tony Fonseca, at 940-553-2310. How the county funds it. General Fund department 405, "Veterans Service", is $11,480 in the FY 2027 budget (October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027), adopted August 24, 2026: "Interlocal Agreement" $10,080, office supplies $600 and telephone $800. The department was budgeted at $10,450 for FY2026 (the interlocal line $9,000) and at $11,438.55 for FY2025, when it spent $11,032.80 ($9,600 on the interlocal agreement). The budget does not name the other party to the agreement; the officer's e-mail address suggests Wichita County, but no posted record says so. Ask the County Judge's office or the officer.
