Westchester County Parks issues a free three-year Veterans Park Pass to resident veterans, and a free Disabled Veterans Park Pass to residents with a service-connected disability, bringing park pass rates at the six County golf courses, pools, beaches and parking. Active duty members get a free one-year Military Park Pass.
Also called: Park Pass, parks, golf, pools, beaches, Saxon Woods, Maple Moor, Mohansic.
A Westchester County Park Pass is the resident photo ID that unlocks pass-holder rates at the six County golf courses (Dunwoodie, Hudson Hills, Maple Moor, Mohansic, Saxon Woods and Sprain Lake), County pools and beaches, and reduced parking where parking is charged. Admission and parking fees still apply, and the pass is not honoured at Playland.
Veterans Park Pass. Free, valid for three years, for Westchester residents who are veterans. Parks asks for proof of residence (a licence, lease, deed or utility bill) and proof of veteran status: a VA Veteran ID Card, a Veteran Health Identification Card, or a New York driver's licence with the veteran designation. The Veterans Service Agency's page also accepts a DD-214 and describes the pass as for honorably discharged veterans; bring the VA card or licence if you have one.
Disabled Veterans Park Pass. Free, valid for three years, for a resident with a service-connected disability, on a VA health ID card that reads "Service Connected". No minimum rating is stated.
Military Park Pass. Free for one year, for active members of any branch who live in the County, with orders showing current service.
Passes are issued in person only, at the Parks Department, 450 Saw Mill River Road, Ardsley, the Croton Point Park and Ward Pound Ridge offices year-round, and in season at County pools, beaches and golf courses. Park pass office: 914-231-4575.
