A three-member Veterans Service Commission, appointed by the County Executive with board confirmation, "authorizes and provides financial assistance to needy veterans" - the aid framework of sections 45.81 and 45.86, reaching spouses, surviving spouses, minor and dependent children and parents. It met once in the year read, March 20, 2026, at the HHS building, with its next meeting listed as TBD. No application form or dollar schedule is published; a veteran starts at the office.
