The Warren County Common Pleas Court's Veterans Honor Court, Judge Timothy N. Tepe, is certified by the Supreme Court of Ohio. Its program description was revised in February 2026.
Who can enter. A veteran or an active-duty member of any branch, including the reserves, with a pending felony case (or a felony amended to a misdemeanour) in the Common Pleas Court's general division, who is eligible for community control or already on it under the county's adult probation, or eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction under Revised Code 2951.041. The court weighs prior record and the offence; a person with a sexually oriented or gang-related offence must show compelling circumstances. The description sets no discharge test.
Clinical terms. The participant must be willing to take part in long-term treatment, to take prescribed medication for any mental illness or addiction, and not to take medication the team judges addictive, "including but not limited to benzodiazepines, opiate-based medications, or marijuana (including medical marijuana)". A veteran who relies on such a prescription should raise it with defence counsel before applying. Admission, phases and completion do not depend on ability to pay fines or costs.
Warren County Court. The Supreme Court's list also certifies a veterans docket in Warren County Court (Judge Gary A. Loxley), for cases in that court.
