Wakulla Sands Golf Club, the county's own 18-hole course, gives active military members and honorably discharged veterans its local rate: $46 a round on weekdays instead of $67, and $63 on weekends and holidays instead of $76, cart included.

Wakulla Sands Golf Club is run by the Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners. Its rates page offers the local fee, otherwise for residents of Wakulla, Leon, Franklin, Jefferson and Liberty Counties with proof of residence, to anyone else in one more group: "This rate is also available for active and honorable discharge military members and Wildwood RV Park Tenants and Guests." The rates, cart fee included and sales tax extra. Weekdays (Monday to Thursday, not holidays): local $46.00 a round, daily $67.00. Weekends (Friday to Sunday and federal and state holidays): local $63.00, daily $76.00. Juniors 18 and under walk for $20.00. What it does not say. The page does not say what proof of service it takes; bring a military ID, a VA card or a DD-214. The annual Player Development Cards ($1,350 individual, $2,160 family) carry no military or veteran rate.
