It asks veterans and widows "to schedule and appointment to see if you are eligible for benefits which you have been missing out on all these years", and: "Unlike the advertisements by lawyers and other claims agents, the Tipton County Veterans Service Officer is FREE. NO CHARGES EVER."
Read the page with care. Its lead item, "A recent court decision has opened the doors to over 190,000 Navy Sailors of Vietnam waters", is the 2019 Procopio decision and the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2019, now settled law (VA's PACT Act presumptions go further); and its "War Time ERA Widows and Veterans can be eligible up to $2,000.00+" is a loose description of VA pension and survivors' pension, whose maximum rates change every December. Ask the officer for the current rules rather than relying on the page.
