Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The Recorder's own page. Taney County's "Military Discharge Recording Requirements" page restates the SB 325/SB 61 provisions effective August 28, 2003, now codified at RSMo 59.480: "1) No fee for filing"; copies, certified or not, "shall only be made available to the authorized part submitting a notarized request form to the recorder of deeds. There shall be no charge for the certified or uncertified copy and no notary fee"; discharge images are kept separately from the public record and remote-access systems may not show their location; and the Recorders Association of Missouri's request form, one request per form, is the route. The page links the RAM Military Discharge Papers Request Form (posted December 20, 2017). The Recorder's responsibilities list says the office "files military discharges upon request." The fee schedule prints no discharge line - the Recorder's schedule prices real estate documents ($26 first page, $3 each additional), plats, marriage licenses and copies, the discharge being free under the statute.
