Where its benefits list is short. The office's list of benefits by rating says the state property tax relief is for "100% P&T Veterans and surviving spouses". Section 67-5-704 also covers a veteran with paraplegia, legal blindness or the loss or loss of use of two or more limbs from a service-connected cause, at any rating; see the Tennessee entry and the Sumner County Trustee entry. It also says a survivor gets Dependency and Indemnity Compensation only if the service-connected disability is on the death certificate or the veteran was rated permanent and total for ten years. VA also pays it where the veteran was rated totally disabled for ten years before death, for five years from discharge, or for one year as a former prisoner of war, and for a death in service; ask the office about any survivor claim.
