Strafford County Jail Veteran Affairs Connections

The Strafford County Department of Corrections’ Programs Department connects incarcerated veterans with local VA resources for treatment, housing, benefits, Vet Court services and other supportive programming.

Also called: Strafford County Department of Corrections, SCDOC, jail, Veteran Affairs, Vet Court, incarcerated veterans.

For: Veteran or service member.

Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The Strafford County Department of Corrections' Programs Department publishes, among its other services, this line in the county's 2025 Annual Report: "Veteran Affairs: Veterans were connected with local VA resources to assist with treatment, housing, benefits, Vet Court services, and other supportive programming." That sentence is the county's only published jail-veteran practice; the department page names no officer, caseload or procedure, and the county attorney's program pages (Drug Court, Mental Health Court, Victim Assistance, Transitional Housing, Supervised Visitation) carry no veterans track. Whether a veterans treatment docket serves Strafford County is unverified: courts.nh.gov answers 403 to every automated fetch, no Strafford veterans-track document exists in the Internet Archive, and the state's locations table leaves Strafford's veterans cell blank on the September 22, 2026 capture.
