Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Snohomish County Parks honours the Washington State Parks Lifetime Disabled Veteran Pass, which State Parks issues at a 30% service-connected rating (see the Washington entry). No statute makes the county do this: RCW 79A.05.065 governs state parks only. What it covers. Free camping, campsites only, and vehicle access to the county's fee-use day-use and boat-launch parks. It does not cover annual permits, picnic shelters, cabins, yurts, reservation transaction fees, firewood, showers or other services, and it cannot be combined with another pass or discount. Register first. Create an account in the county's camping reservation system and submit the county's online discount form; the discount then applies automatically. A walk-up or reservation made before the card is registered is charged in full and is not refunded afterwards. Registrations expire on December 31; re-register for the next year between November 1 and December 31. Limits. No more than 28 discounted nights a calendar year per household, no more than 14 reserved at a time, and 14 nights in any one park. The pass holder must camp at the discounted site for the whole stay, and guests at a separate site pay the full fee; the county says the pass is "only valid for person issued". A discounted site not occupied by the second day is cancelled as a no-show. Snohomish County Parks, Recreation and Tourism: 6705 Puget Park Drive, Snohomish 98296, 425-388-6600.
