Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Mo. Rev. Stat. 59.480 makes the recording of a discharge free and limits who may see or copy it; see the Missouri entry. The Recorder's site gives the standard recording fee ($26 for the first page and $3 for each other page) and copies at $1 a document up to five pages, and under the heading "Veteran Service Records, Surveys & Other" says only: "Contact Office at number 573-633-2821." It names no fee for a discharge, and the statute charges none. Copies of a recorded discharge go only to the veteran or an authorized party on the Recorders Association of Missouri's notarized request; the site posts no form, so ask the office. The online land records (SFFlexSuite, 1992 on) need an account and are for land records, not discharges. Where. Recorder of Deeds Audrey Buzzard (Audrey Grawe Buzzard on the county site), Shelby County Courthouse, 100 East Main, P.O. Box 188, Shelbyville, MO 63469; 573-633-2821; [email protected]; 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. weekdays.
