The Sheboygan Area Veterans Treatment Court opened in August 2012 and takes cases from seven counties - Sheboygan, Winnebago, Washington, Ozaukee and Manitowoc among them - making it the regional veterans court of east-central Wisconsin. The coordinator contact is (920) 459-3053, the same office as the county's CVSO, whose staff serve the court. Eligibility runs to "all discharges except dishonorable", a mentor program is attached, and the court publishes a policy manual. The court decides admission; there is no right to participate. A veteran facing charges in one of the served counties asks counsel or the coordinator about a referral.
