The Sebastian County Veterans Treatment Court is a court-supervised, comprehensive treatment program for eligible offenders. An eligible offender is a person charged with a felony offense in Sebastian County who qualifies for Veterans Administration benefits and is approved for participation by their attorney, the Prosecuting Attorney and the presiding Judge. The program is voluntary and includes regular court appearances before the presiding judge, supervision by an officer of Arkansas Community Correction, treatment as determined by the treatment team, and drug testing. Under section 16-101-103 eligibility turns on being a veteran or service member 18 or older with a substance use or mental health disorder who agrees to the court's policies; the State entry carries the statute. On successful completion, Act 691 of 2025 lets the judge dismiss and seal the case on the prosecutor's recommendation under section 16-90-1602. The admin office is at Sebastian County Courts, 901 South B, Room 204, Fort Smith 72901; Becky Tabor, 479-784-1507, fax 479-783-1193.
