Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Mo. Rev. Stat. 59.480 makes the recording of a discharge free and limits who may see or copy it; see the Missouri entry. The Recorder's page lists "Military discharges" among the legal documents the office records, beside plats, land transfers, surveys, deeds of trust, tax liens and marriage licences. The page posts no request form and no discharge fee; its general terms ($1 a page for copies, $26 for the first page of a recording) are the land-record fees, and the statute keeps a discharge and its copies free - a veteran charged for either should cite section 59.480. Copies go only to the veteran or an authorized party on the Recorders Association of Missouri's notarized request form. Where. Recorder of Deeds Tara Mason, Scott County Courthouse, 131 S.
