Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The programme. "The Schoharie County Veterans Peer to Peer Program is the local branch of the PFC Joseph Dwyer program. We are working to provide peer support to our veteran community as well as partnering with other local organizations and programs to meet vets where they are. We currently offer monthly meetings and planned activities but are actively looking to establish support groups to meet the individual needs of vets and their families. While we don't provide any direct support regarding VA benefits or claims we're more than happy to both match individuals with needed resources". The page's documents include a breakfast schedule and flyers for retreats, camping, caving and the Mustang Valley Sanctuary. The post. The page lists the "Peer to Peer Advocate" as "Vacant", (518) 295-8360. On August 21, 2026 the Board signed a memorandum of understanding between the Office of Community Services and the Office for the Aging "for the Peer to Peer Dwyer Veteran's Program" and created "a Veteran's Peer Support Specialist in OFA" at CSEA grade 11 (Motions #219 and #230). In March 2026 Homeward Bound Adirondacks, which runs the Dwyer programme in Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties, told the Board it wanted to run it for Schoharie County too (the board record entry). Call to ask who leads it now.
