The Superior Court of Santa Barbara County runs the Veterans Treatment Court in all three of its court regions, for justice-involved veterans struggling with addiction, serious mental illness or co-occurring disorders. It works with the partners of the drug and mental health courts, VA's health care network, the Veterans Benefits Administration, volunteer veteran mentors and family support organizations, and offers a select group of offenders treatment in place of incarceration. Penal Code sections 1001.80 and 1170.9 are the State's military diversion and treatment statutes; see the California entry.
Who. The court's page names no discharge, VA eligibility or offence rules. Tell the court about service on Judicial Council form MIL-100 and ask defence counsel about a referral.
