What the county's Auditor adds is the route, read from the office's own Homestead page (the live site answers a Cloudflare block to every automated fetch; the text here is the Internet Archive's capture of April 13, 2021, which the office's 2026 homestead brochure continues).
The page's rules: "The Homestead Program is designed to provide tax credit relief to citizens who are at least 65 years of age or permanently and totally disabled. After January 1, 2014 new applicants must also show they have an annual Ohio adjusted gross income less than $33,600 for 2019 to qualify for the exemption."
The veteran's increased exemption: "With the passage of HB 85, military veterans who are honorably discharged and who has received a total disability rating (100%) or a total disability rating for compensation (100%) based on individual unemployability, for a service-connected disability or combination of service-connected disabilities are now eligible for an increased homestead exemption from $25,000 to $50,000. 100% service-connected or TDIU as VA finds it
The increased $50,000 exemption needs the DTE 105I and the VA’s 100% or TDIU finding; the standard homestead runs on age or total disability with the income test. The county takes the filing.
