What the page says. "Veterans Memory Walk of Honor is selling bricks to honor Veterans. The bricks will be placed around the Courthouse along the side walk ... The proceeds from these brick sales will be used to cover the cost of Veterans who wish to fly to Washington D.C. to see their War Memorial." It links the brick application, a "Veteran's Honor Flight Application" and a guardian application, and gives Charlie Guthrie, 660-631-9355, for questions. The Treasurer's page adds that Walk of Honor bricks, veterans' applications and guardian applications can be picked up in the Treasurer's office. The trip. The veteran application is Central Missouri Honor Flight's own: it flies veterans "to Washington, DC to see YOUR memorial at no cost", giving top priority to World War II and terminally ill veterans of all wars, then Korean War, then Vietnam War veterans; trained guardians, not family members, escort the veterans, and a physician goes on every flight. The flight is the charity's, and its contact is 573-256-1930 or centralmissourihonorflight.com. The bricks. A brick is $50, with three lines of up to 17 characters (name, branch, war or dates), paid to the "Veteran's Memory Walk of Honor" at the Commissioner's, Surveyor's, Treasurer's or Assessor's office. The brick form itself says the proceeds go to the upkeep of the veterans memorials on the courthouse lawn, not the flights, so ask which use applies now. A list of the bricks laid (updated February 11, 2020) is posted. Where. County Treasurer Jared Brewer, Saline County Courthouse, 19 E. Arrow Street, Room 200, Marshall, MO 65340; 660-886-3636; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, closed noon to 1.
