Salem Veterans’ Property Tax Exemptions

Salem’s assessor posts the additional veteran’s M-59A, active duty military exemption forms, the D-2 due January 1 annually and a handicapped motor vehicle local option form, without amounts.

Also called: property tax, 12-81g, veterans exemption, assessor, Salem.

For: Veteran or service member.

Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The assessor’s forms page carries an Additional Veteran’s Application M-59A, an Active Duty Military Exemption section with a Connecticut Resident AOA form and a Non-CT Resident MHA form, a Handicapped MV Local Option Tax Exempt form, and the D-2: the office’s page records the “12-81(83) 100% P&T Va Disabled Exemption - Form D-2 Filing - Due January 1st Annually.” No amount is printed, and Salem did not answer OLR’s 2023 survey. The town’s code was found on no readable host.

Figures

Each figure is dated with the day it was read. A local figure moves whenever the statute or the local ordinance does, so confirm it with the office that grants it before you rely on it. Statute verified gives the day the weekly section check last found the statute standing on the legislature’s own code site; a figure without it rests on a statute the check does not read yet.
