Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The record. The Court meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays and keeps its agendas and minutes, combined in one file per meeting, in a public Google Drive folder linked from the Commissioners Court page; the 21 files there, January 6 through September 22, 2026, were read whole. The folder holds no file from October to December 2025 or from October 2026. The veteran items: - Nearly every regular meeting: the Court approves "the following reports" for the prior month, one of them "Veterans" (for example August 2026, approved September 22, 2026); the reports are enclosures and are not in the posted files. - January 8, 2026, public comment by Judge Hale: "Veterans funds - it was rumored that funds for the Veterans had been cut - this is not true. Judge Hale is really disappointed in these comments being made." The 2026 budget carries the office at $116,728 (see the office entry). - September 8, 2026: "Upon motion by Commissioner Gibson, seconded by Commissioner Whitworth, the court approved a resolution recognizing the 8th day of September as U.S. Army Veteran Rickey Dudley Wittner Day in recognition of his valiant military service." No veteran benefit was adopted, narrowed or repealed.
