Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The rules are the State's; see the Oklahoma entry on DD-214 confidentiality. The Rogers County Clerk's page: "The County Clerk is the principal record keeper for the county and preserves all legal instruments filed by private citizens and public officials within the County Clerk's office. The County Clerk maintains an accurate and current record of legal instruments including deeds; mortgages; plat maps; oil, gas, and mineral leases; liens; and military discharge papers, plus numerous miscellaneous documents." What the State law adds. A veteran's discharge is recorded without charge under 72 O.S. 22, and 19 O.S. 270 keeps a recorded discharge from public view, releasing it only to the veteran and the others the statute names. The clerk's forms page carries no discharge form, so bring the DD-214 and identification to the office. Where. 200 S. Lynn Riggs Boulevard, Claremore, OK 74017; 918-923-4796.
