Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The county established two programmes, Veteran Assistance Leadership of Riverside County (VALOR) and Waive Admissions Involving Veterans Entry (W.A.I.V.E.). The county says they give free entrance to current and former military personnel, family members and guests at many county events and facilities, including free parking at many county buildings and facilities. The Board of Supervisors also asks businesses to give veterans discounts and offers a VALOR window poster. County parks. RivCoParks lists three passes for veterans: an Active Military and Veterans Pass and a Veterans with Disabilities Pass, each covering all regional parks, nature centres, historic sites and trails with day-use fishing and boat launching, and a W.A.I.V.E. Pass with the same access and fishing and boat launching on the days the programme names. The parks department sells them through its site; ask it for the current price and the proof it takes. The county's pages do not say which events and buildings take part, so check before a visit.
