Redding Veterans’ Property Tax Exemptions

Redding’s veterans page describes the wartime, disability and active duty exemptions without amounts, and the assessor posts the D-2 and a veterans application whose text does not extract.

Also called: property tax, 12-81g, veterans exemption, assessor, Redding.

For: Veteran or service member, survivor.

Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The assessor’s veterans page says property tax exemptions are available to veterans and active duty members, to honorably discharged veterans who served at least 90 days during a period of war, to veterans who have suffered a disability, and to some surviving family members of a deceased veteran; the DD-214 must be filed with the Town Clerk’s Office and an application filled out with the Assessor’s Office. It prints no amounts, and Redding did not answer OLR’s 2023 survey. The assessor’s forms page carries Form D-2 Permanent and Totally Disabled (100% service) Tax Exemption and a Veterans Exemption Application “to be filed with DD-214,” posted January 2026, whose text does not extract. Redding’s former reddingct.org is a GoDaddy parking page and the town’s site is reddingct.gov.

Figures

Each figure is dated with the day it was read. A local figure moves whenever the statute or the local ordinance does, so confirm it with the office that grants it before you rely on it. Statute verified gives the day the weekly section check last found the statute standing on the legislature’s own code site; a figure without it rests on a statute the check does not read yet.
