Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The Circuit Clerk's fee list, printed on every department page of the county's site, ends "DD-214 forms: no charge", after the land and court fees (certification $5.00 per document up to 10 pages, copies $0.50 a page). The County & Circuit Clerk's page explains that the Circuit Clerk is the ex officio county recorder. Why record it. A recorded discharge is a permanent county copy the office can certify when the original is lost, for a VA claim, a burial or a State benefit. Recorded instruments are public records, so ask the office how it keeps discharges before recording one. The County and Circuit Clerk, Renee Rainey, is at P.O. Box 358, Perryville, AR 72126, (501) 889-5126, fax (501) 889-5759, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
