The Division of Senior and Veteran Services in the Community Services Department is Palm Beach County's veterans service office; see the Florida entry on claims assistance. Its veterans services officers "assist and counsel former and current members of the Armed Forces who reside in Palm Beach County", including preparing and filing claims for benefits under federal, state and local law; dependents and survivors may also use the service. The county warns against pension poachers and quotes VA that, in general, no one may charge a fee to help file an initial claim.
Appointments only. "Please make an appointment before traveling to a location. There are no walk-ins." Offices: main office, 810 Datura Street, Suite 300, West Palm Beach (561-355-4720), for West Palm Beach, Wellington and Belle Glade; North County, 6415 W.
