Johnson - the phone is (262) 284-8326 on the state directory and commission letterhead, (262) 238-8326 on the county site; the county site governs - with benefits specialist Kimberly Cox. The commission and the fund. The Veterans Service Commission (Richards chair to 2028, Schneider to 2027, Batty to 2026, reappointed December 3, 2025; Johnson executive secretary) meets as needed and reviews "veteran relief requests" in closed session under the 45.86 levy; its published balance was $5,000 as of September 17, 2025. No application or amounts are public; a veteran contacts the CVSO. The county also runs veterans transportation to the Milwaukee VA hospital for a nominal, unpublished charge, and decorates veterans' graves countywide before Memorial Day. The golf. Both county courses - Hawthorne Hills and Mee-Kwon Park - publish "Active Duty Military receive free greens fees. You pay the appropriate cart fee." No other park discount exists.
