Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

No field office of the Bureau of Veterans' Services sits in Oxford County. The Bureau's locations page lists itinerant service locations at Pittsfield, Rockland, Bridgton, Windham, South Paris, Brunswick, Lincoln, Ellsworth and Dover-Foxcroft, and South Paris is in this county; to schedule an in-person or phone appointment the Bureau says to contact your nearest office. The Bureau's service officers help veterans file claims for federal and state benefits, and the county inherits every State entry. Oxford County's own site was crawled from its sitemap, 25 pages, and not one names a veteran, military or discharge subject; the closest is the Judge of Probate's biography, which calls Jarrod S. Crockett "a former Maine legislator, logger and US Army combat veteran". The Sheriff's Office has its own site (oxfordcountysheriff.com), five pages of about, civil process, employment and links, and names no veteran programme. The county's registry of deeds publishes only contacts on the county's departments page, and no discharge-recording line appears anywhere on the site. The commissioners' records for October 1, 2025 to October 1, 2026 - 31 agenda, minutes and tax-commitment PDFs from the county's meetings page, of which twenty-five are image scans that were read by OCR - carry no veteran item at all.
