The County Clerk's 2025 Schedule of Fees (four pages) prices deeds, mortgages, DBA forms, notary commissions and the rest of the recording list and carries no military-discharge or DD-214 line at all. New York's Military Law 250 requires every county clerk "to furnish without charge to any veteran, or parent, spouse, dependent or child of the veteran, a certified copy" of a discharge, and the recording itself is free (the State entry carries the statute and the restricted access under Military Law 250 and RPL 144).
