Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The exemption is the State's; see the Oklahoma entries. Article X, section 8E of the Oklahoma Constitution exempts the full fair cash value of the homestead of a veteran rated 100% permanently disabled from service, or of the surviving spouse, and the application is the Tax Commission's Form 998 with VA's letter; Form 998-B carries the exemption to a new home. What the county says. The Assessor's page lists the office's duties - it "checks all exemptions", prepares the assessment roll for the County Board of Equalization and delivers the tax roll to the County Treasurer - and publishes no exemption rules of its own. Its records sit on DataCrossPoint, a property-record application that publishes no exemption text; the county's records portals (oktaxrolls.com, okcountyrecords.com) are record searches too. The office hours run 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., open at noon. A veteran applying should bring the VA's embossed letter and file before the year's deadline; the Muskogee office of the Department of Veterans Affairs (below) helps get the letter. Where. Muskogee County Assessor Ron Dean, 400 West Broadway, Room 210, Muskogee, OK 74401; 918-682-8781. Reyna Benavides is the First Deputy.
