Monroe Veterans’ Property Tax Exemptions

Monroe’s assessor posts the state additional veterans exemption application and the active duty motor vehicle exemption forms; the posted application is a scan with no readable text.

Also called: property tax, 12-81g, veterans exemption, assessor, Monroe.

For: Veteran or service member.

Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The assessor’s resident tax relief page and its exemption forms page carry the “Additional Veteran’s Exemption Application - State” and the active duty resident and non-resident motor vehicle exemption forms. The additional-veteran application posts as a scan with no readable text, so no amount or income limit could be printed from it; the relief page’s own income lines, $46,300 unmarried and $56,500 married, belong to the homeowner and renter programs. Monroe did not answer OLR’s 2023 survey, and no town local option was found; ask the assessor.

Figures

Each figure is dated with the day it was read. A local figure moves whenever the statute or the local ordinance does, so confirm it with the office that grants it before you rely on it. Statute verified gives the day the weekly section check last found the statute standing on the legislature’s own code site; a figure without it rests on a statute the check does not read yet.
