Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The Recorder's fee schedule reads "Military discharges - no charge per A.R.S. 11-465". Other documents are $30 to record, and copies of records are $1 a page. Record in person at the Recorder's office in Kingman or by mail to P.O. Box 7000, Kingman 86402 (928-753-0701); a mailed original is scanned and returned in about four to six weeks. What the page leaves out. ARS 11-465 also keeps a recorded discharge out of public view, giving access only to the veteran, a federal official, or the veteran's guardian, attorney or personal representative for a federal benefit claim, and ARS 39-122 makes a certified copy free when it is for a VA or other federal benefit claim; see the Arizona entry. Say so when asking for a copy for a claim.
