Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The county's DD-214 page: "The Department of Defense advises all discharged personnel to file a copy of their DD-214 at their local courthouse. In Arkansas, DD-214s are filed in the circuit clerk's office. A copy is kept as a part of the circuit clerk's official records. The original is returned to the filer. There is no charge to have a DD-214 filed with the Mississippi County Circuit Clerk's Office." It ends: "DD-214 is recorded in the Circuit Clerk Recorder's Office - no fee". For a lost discharge, the page points to the National Personnel Records Center, which releases copies only to the veteran, next of kin or someone with the veteran's power of attorney. Where. Circuit Clerk Leslie Mason keeps two offices, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Blytheville (P.O. Box 1498, Blytheville, AR 72316; (870) 762-2332) and Osceola (P.O. Box 466, Osceola, AR 72370; (870) 563-6471). The office "DOES NOT ACCEPT FILINGS OF ANY KIND BY EMAIL", so bring the DD-214 in person. Recorded instruments are public records, so ask how the office keeps discharges before recording one.
