Weekday van runs from the Northland Drive office to the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center and the Parma and Akron outpatient clinics, appointments between 9 and noon, with Medina County Public Transit free for a year on the county's veterans ID card, and a new Medina VA clinic at 6449 Wooster Pike coming in 2027.

Every Ohio commission must arrange regular transport to the VA medical centres serving the county (Revised Code 5901.03(H); see the Ohio entry). The Medina County Veterans Service Office runs vans every weekday to the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland and the Parma and Akron community-based outpatient clinics. Appointments should be made between 9 a.m. and noon; the vans leave the office promptly at 8 a.m. and return by 3 p.m. Riders must board and exit without help except wheelchair users - scooters will not fit, it must be a wheelchair, and wheelchair rides must be booked no later than a week ahead. Call 330-722-9368 as soon as the appointment is known; showing up without booking is space available and may mean being turned away. Using the van forfeits VA travel pay for that trip, which the office calls a prosecutable offence. The office keeps one wheelchair-accessible bus, one seated bus and one minivan, drove 861 veterans in 2025 and 30 to 40 a month in 2026, and its drivers' fuel is reimbursed through the county's journals.
The county's own transit. Since July 1, 2018 a veteran with a Medina County Veterans Identification Card rides Medina County Public Transit free anywhere in the county - the card from the Recorder's office is the only identification the bus accepts - and the commission paid for 2,287 MCPT rides under contract in 2025 (330-723-9670 to schedule; MCPT will not leave the county). The office pays the fare to and from its office for riders who need it.
What is coming. VA's new Medina community-based outpatient clinic, a 20,000 square foot clinic at 6449 Wooster Pike in Montville Township leased for twenty years in September 2025, is to open in late summer or fall 2027; the office expects to revise its transportation model then, perhaps contracting with Transit to take veterans straight to local appointments. Beside the vans, two psychologists from the Parma Vet Center hold clinic at the county's Human Services Building, Room 155, 246 Northland Drive, Mondays and Wednesdays, on 440-845-5023, a partnership sixteen years old.
