Thresholds
| Gate | Rule |
|---|---|
| Honorable discharge and Maryland residence | Admission requires an honorable discharge from qualifying service, Maryland residence, and age 62 or a disability finding from Social Security or VA. A 70% rating can change who pays for nursing care. It is not the admission test. |
| Nursing-care payment at 70% | The home says a veteran rated 70% or greater service-connected may be entitled to the full cost of nursing-home care. Confirm that with the home. It does not decide whether a bed is offered. |
