The exemptions are the State's - Real Property Tax Law 458 (eligible funds), 458-a (alternative) and 458-b (Cold War) - each at local option, so the county, each town, the City of Oneida and each school district set their own limits; the New York entries carry the rules. Madison County's Real Property office publishes no table of those limits: "All exemptions, excluding STAR, must be submitted to your local Assessor's office by Taxable Status Date", which is March 1 (May 1 for the City of Oneida). Ask the town or city assessor, or Real Property. The Veterans Service Agency (315-366-2395) helps with the forms. The full exemption. A Kirkville resident asked the Board of Supervisors to adopt it at its meetings of January 6, February 10 and March 10, 2026, and to press the towns to as well. The Board's local laws from then to October 22, 2026 include none for it, so for county taxes the full exemption is not available yet; a town, the city or a school district may act on its own. Where.
