Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The exemption is the State's (Section 170 of the Kentucky Constitution and KRS 132.810); the Kentucky entry explains it. The Madison County PVA's own site redirects to the Schneider Beacon property-record search (madisoncountypva.com answers a Cloudflare challenge to every automated fetch, and the Internet Archive holds no capture), so the office publishes no exemption text a read can reach. What the State's own application page says, and which the office applies: the Department of Revenue's Homestead Exemption page requires an owner "classified as totally disabled under a program authorized or administered by an agency of the United States government or any retirement system located within or outside of Kentucky" who "must have been receiving payments pursuant to his or her disability for the entire assessment period", on the Application for Exemption Under the Homestead/Disability Amendment (Form 62A350) filed with the county PVA. The exemption is $49,100 for the 2025-2026 assessment years. A veteran "of the United States Armed Forces" with "a service connected disability" is among the claimants excused from applying annually - the Kentucky entry's veteran-specific point. Where. The Department of Revenue's PVA Directory (2022-2026) lists Madison County's office at 135 W. Irvine Street, Suite 103, Richmond, KY 40475-1436, (859) 623-5410, fax (859) 623-4742, [email protected], weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern; Billy Ackerman has been PVA since December 2022. The Fiscal Court's year. The court's records carry no veteran item beyond recognitions: the Operation Green Light proclamation of October 28, 2025 and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1066 Deputy Veteran Award presented November 12, 2025, and the 2026-2027 budget names no veteran line, so the exemption's county-side administration is the PVA's alone.
