Logan County (Oklahoma) Veterans Homestead Exemption
The Logan County Assessor administers the veterans homestead exemption at 201 County Way, Room 100, Guthrie (405-282-3509); the county's Board of County Commissioners approved its 2025 claim to the Oklahoma Tax Commission for reimbursement for Veteran's Exemptions in the amount of $608,021 on January 30, 2026.
The exemption is the State's: Article X, section 8E exempts "the full amount of the fair cash value of the homestead" for a head of household "honorably discharged from active service" whom VA has certified "to have a one hundred percent (100%) permanent disability sustained through military action or accident or resulting from disease contracted while in such active service", and for the surviving spouse; see the Oklahoma entry on the veterans homestead exemption for the routes. The State reimburses counties for the exempted amounts, which is the county's own veteran line in its budget.
The county's record. The Board of County Commissioners' January 30, 2026 minutes: "the 2025 claim to the Oklahoma Tax Commissioner for reimbursement for Veteran's Exemptions in the amount of $608,021.00 be approved" (Mark Sharpton moved, Monty Piearcy seconded, 3-0). The board's year carries no other veteran item.
Where. The Logan County Assessor's office, 201 County Way, Rm 100, Guthrie, OK 73044; 405-282-3509. The Assessor's Homestead Exemption page walks through the homestead ($1,000 of assessed value), the income-based double homestead and the senior "freeze", and says the office will complete an application over the phone or in person; it publishes no veteran exemption text of its own, so the exemption's routes rest on the State entries - ask the Assessor's office for the veterans exemption application and bring the VA certification.
