Act 876 of 2025 added to section 26-3-306(b) that the VA letter "is required to be submitted only one (1) time" and that "annual submission of a letter from the department is not required", from the 2025 assessment year, so long as you tell the collector if you stop qualifying or move. The State portal's Lincoln County page lists Melissa Bumpass as Collector, 870-628-5020, 300 South Drew St., Room 102, Star City, AR 71667, and Amy Harrison as Assessor, 870-628-4401, Room 106. The county has no website, so neither office publishes anything on the exemption. Bring the VA letter to the Collector, or have the veterans service officer ((870) 370-2785) help with it.
