The Licking County Recorder, Bryan Long, 20 South Second Street, Newark (740-670-5300, fax 740-670-5303, office 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and recording 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.), takes veterans discharges at the recording desk under Revised Code 317.24, which makes the record confidential and gives one certified copy free; see the Ohio entry on county recorders. No card programme published. The Recorder's pages describe discharge recording but no Ohio veterans identification card under 317.241.
