Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The flyers. "LIBERTY COUNTY VETERAN SERVICES 2024-2025 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE GRANT. Assist with the following: Rent Assistance, Mortgage Assistance, Utilities. This program is supported by a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans' Assistance. The Fund for Veterans' Assistance provides grants to organizations serving veterans and their families." The 2023-24 flyer is the same, and the office's earlier Project S.A.V.E. grant of 2021-22 preceded them. The county's budgets carry the grant as the Veterans SAVE Grant fund; for fiscal 2025 it shows $37,500 of grant revenue, most of it spent on client services and a part-time clerk. Now. The Texas Veterans Commission's list of FY27 grants (awarded May 21, 2026, for the year from July 2026) names no Liberty County grant, and the county page still shows the 2024-25 flyer. Call before you count on it: 936-336-4558 ext. 4 or 281-593-8402, and ask what proof of service, residence, income and the bill the office needs. The flyers publish no income limit.
