What it is. The Commission on Prosecution Coordination's 2026 Directory of South Carolina Diversion Programs and Treatment Courts (December 8, 2025) lists a Veterans Court among the Eighth Circuit's adult treatment programs. The Eighth Circuit is Laurens County's circuit - the solicitor also prosecutes Abbeville, Greenwood and Newberry - so a veteran charged in Laurens County may ask the Solicitor's office about it. Entry into a treatment court is at the solicitor's discretion; on completion the charges are dismissed and may be expunged. How to ask. The circuit director of diversion programs is Jami Steifle, 864-942-8800, [email protected]; the Commission's office is at the Wade Hampton Building, 1200 Senate St., Suite B-03, Columbia, SC 29201, (803) 343-0765. The county's own Magistrate and Probate Court pages publish no veterans docket of their own. The circuit's site. scsolicitor8.org serves an expired certificate and its pages link to a German question-and-answer site, so no circuit page could be read; this entry rests on the Commission's directory alone, and the county's header records the gap.
