Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

California's veterans treatment courts rest on Penal Code section 1170.9 and military diversion on section 1001.80; see the California entry. What is published. The Superior Court's courtrooms page: "Veteran's Court is held in Lakeport on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month." Its court calendar effective March 2, 2026 lists "Veteran's Court (Lakeport) 1st & 3rd Wednesdays", and its remote appearance page lists the same. The county Public Defender's Collaborative Courts page lists the Veterans Treatment Court among the county's collaborative courts with the same schedule, alongside CARE Court and the dependency drug court, and links the Judicial Council's description of veterans treatment courts. What is not. Neither the court nor the county publishes the court's eligibility rules, team, judge, treatment provider, referral form or local rule, and the Judicial Council's veterans treatment courts page still prints no county list (rechecked 2026-10-24). A veteran with a Lake County criminal case should ask defence counsel or the Public Defender about Veteran's Court and about military diversion, and file form MIL-100 to tell the court of military service. The Veterans Service Office works with the court and with veterans in the jail. Where. Superior Court of California, County of Lake, 255 North Forbes Street, 4th Floor, Lakeport, CA 95453; (707) 263-2374.
