Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The exemptions are the State's; the Texas entries explain them. The Central Appraisal District of Johnson County grants them for property in Johnson County, from 109 N. Main Street in Cleburne. What the district publishes. Its exemptions page lists "Person - 100% Disabled Vet Homestead" among the residence exemptions and links a "2025 Exemptions and Exemption Amounts by Jurisdiction" PDF, which describes each in the county's own words. The 100% homestead (Tax Code 11.131): a veteran receiving 100 percent disability compensation for a service-connected disability with either a 100 percent rating or a determination of individual unemployability is entitled to exemption of the total appraised value of the residence homestead, and the surviving spouse of a veteran who qualified - or would have qualified had the exemption been available at death - may also receive it, subject to the statute's restrictions. An application must be filed to receive it. The partial exemption (Tax Code 11.22): the schedule is $5,000 at 10 to 29 percent, $7,500 at 30 to 49, $10,000 at 50 to 69 and $12,000 at 70 to 100, and it also covers surviving spouses and surviving children of deceased disabled veterans and homesteads donated by charitable organisations at no cost or for no more than half of market value (section 11.132). Neither paragraph carries the districts' usual April 30 deadline; the State's five-year late window (section 11.439) applies; see the Texas entries. Filing. "There is no charge to file for any exemption", the district's forms page says, and its online application (through Trueroll) lists the "100% Disabled Veteran Homestead Exemption" among the residence exemptions it takes. The forms page links the Comptroller's 50-135, "Disabled Veteran's or Survivor's Exemption", among the rest. Where. 109 N.
