The Commission's own record (the October Term minutes book carries the October 9 proceedings, Book B-3, pages 763-764): "Veterans Park Proposal - Bruce Uhler, Warrensburg Mayor. Bruce Uhler presented draft plans for a veteran's park featuring six flags (representing the six forces), a fountain, and benches. An architect is scheduled to visit next week. The goal is to have the park open by June 14, 2026. Uhler also discussed a potential small veteran's park on private property on the west side of Dutch Brothers, or between IHOP and Dollar Tree on Russell Avenue. He was not enthusiastic about those locations and requested consideration for the southeast corner of the Courthouse since the tree was recently removed from that corner. Jennifer Powers, County Clerk Chief Deputy, noted that the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) typically must approve changes to Courthouse property, but the south grassy areas of the Justice Center could be considered as an alternative since that is not a historic building." No later Commission record of the window carries the park again, so whether it was sited is not published; the Commission's own meetings are the route. The rest of the Commission's year, for context: the 2026 county memberships approved October 1, 2025 include the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce's "$25 Military Affairs Committee" line within a $5,075.00 membership; the May 19, 2026 agenda carries a "Review of Services: Pettis County Community Partnership - Supportive Services for Veteran Family"; the August 11, 2026 agenda carries an "Employee Handbook and Policy Update - Military Leave Pay"; and the commissioners' recurring items include the Military Airport Zoning Commission and Whiteman Area Leadership Council meetings.
