Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Isabella County, MICounty

This is the county's own concession, in the Parks and Recreation fee schedule that the FY2027 budget carries. Park entrance fees at Coldwater Lake Family Park, Deerfield Nature Park, Herrick Recreation Area and Meridian County Park: a daily vehicle entrance permit is $6.00 and an annual permit $25.00 for county residents and $35.00 for others. The parks' fees page lists: "Disabled Veterans (must show Disabled Veteran ID card) Free Daily Pass"; and "Veterans (must show Veteran ID card) on Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Veterans Day Free Daily Pass". The same rate applies to residents and non-residents. What it does not cover. Camping and cabin fees ($25 to $45 a night for a site, $60 for a cabin) and the watercraft permits have no veteran rate. The schedule does not say which card counts as a disabled veteran ID; a VA health card or a Michigan driver's licence with the veteran designation is the usual proof, so ask the park office.
